I am not able to upload photos to family tree - I click upload photo, choose a photo from my computer and then a small circle goes round and round but nothing happens. This hasn't happened before. Anyone else having this problem?

I have not tried, of late, to upload a photograph to "Memories"; but, I have been uploading "Images" ("Screenshots" of Indexes of, Births; Deaths; and, Marriages) without any problems.

Firstly ...

.

I am no saying that your are not aware of this; but, just in case ...

.

The acceptable File, 'Type'; and, "Size', for Photographs are .jpg, .png, .tif, and .bmp file formats up to 15MB (ie. Megabytes).

.

Just make sure the particular photograph(s) you are trying to upload conform to one of those format up to the minimum size.

A few things to try and consider ...

.

In regard to your computer:

▬ Are you using a current "Operating System"?

▬ Are you using a current "Browser"?

▬ Is the "Browser" that you us one that is supported by 'FamilySearch'?

.

Sometimes, "Clearing" the, "Cookies"; "Cache"; and, "Browsing History" of a "Browser" addresses/fixes problems/issue such as this.

.

Was there a major release/update to 'FamilySearch' being undertaken, usually indicated by a "Banner" at the Top of pages/screens?

.

And, there, are always; and, could be, minor ongoing "In-Line" releases/updates to 'FamilySearch' being undertaken, such can affect the performance and functionality of certain features/facilities/functions of 'FamilySearch', depending on what is being worked upon.

.

Just some thoughts.

I do know that if you try to upload a large amount of images all at once (say 20 images) to a profile for a person in FS FT that what you describe can sometimes happen. I have also seen things like this happen when your session in FS has timed out while you are still sitting on a page.

but over all I am not aware of a general problem like you describe.

I can't upload phots either. It says error occurred. I have only been able to upload my own photo but no one else. It's the right type & size & it's appropriate.
