Dear @Clarita Dela Cruz  you can start your research from here "Search historical records" simply entering into the corresponding fields the name and surname of your father. Have a look at the results and if the list is too long you can refine the research adding further elements such as Hong Kong or other cities you may know or some dates and so on. In case you may find nothing, you can search into the FS catalog for Hong Kong from here. I hope may help!

    @Clarita Dela Cruz

    .

    FYI

    .

Further to what 'massimoconforti' has already proffered ...

    .

Here are some 'links' to web pages for "Hong Kong" in the 'FamilySearch' "Wiki":

    .

    Hong Kong Genealogy

    https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Hong_Kong_Genealogy

    .

    Hong Kong Online Genealogy Records

    https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Hong_Kong_Online_Genealogy_Records

    .

Unfortunately, most of these Records appear to be well before 1987.

    .

But, I still hope this helps, somewhat.

    Brett,

If you can provide the Chinese characters for your father's name - they may be able to find it. I only had my grandmother's Chinese name & they found it.

    Henry
