how do I change information

Please go to the page that shows you are deceased. In vital information, there will be a blue Edit. Click on that and change the information to living and explain why. This will create a case that goes to another department and they will change the deceased to living. You will not see the change to living for a little while. Please repeat this with your husband. When the change is effected, the ID that showed you were deceased will disappear from your page as it is being returned to the tree of whomever created it.
We wish you the best.

And, I am assuming two (x2) things here:
(1) You are referring to an individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and,
(2) That individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is "Deceased".
Short Answer: 'Yes', this is a way to "Change" the Birth record for your Father; and, you can do that yourself.
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':
How do I change vital information in Family Tree?
I hope this helps, somewhat.

ps:
Whereas ...
IF, you are referencing:
(1) The "Details", of an "Index", of a "Source" (a Record), in 'FamilySearch'; or,
(2) The "Details", of an individual/person, that appears of the "Discovery Pages", of 'FamilySearch';
THEN, they are OTHER matters entirely.
IF, either of the aforementioned is the case; THEN, please advise.

For us to be able to help you - we need to understand what it is you are referring to.
There are billions of records/pages in FamilySearch - some of them editable and others not.
please point us at what you are referring to - and we will be glad to help.

PLEASE; Please; please ...
Be aware that making my RECENT ( 30 August 2021 ) 'Comment'; and, an "Accepted Answer" (now, "Best Answer") was "Extremely" INAPPROPRIATE.
My RECENT ( 30 August 2021 ) 'Comment', was in response, to a RECENT ( 30 August 2021 ) 'Comment', by another Participant, NOTHING to do with the ORIGINAL post. Not to mention, in doing so, putting my RECENT ( 30 August 2021 ) 'Comment' way 'out of context', with regards, the ORGIGINAL post.
I have REPOSTED, a DUPLICATE, of my RECENT ( 30 August 2021 ) 'Comment', 'in situ', where it belongs.
Please, DO NOT take ANY action, in regards to my DUPLIACTE post.
The BEST thing that you could have done was to either, do nothing; or, just add a 'Comment', agreeing with; or, supporting, my 'Comment'.
I am sorry ...
It is just, that MANY of the "Moderators" [ ie, 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], operating in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, NEEED much MORE, "Training"; and, 'User-Time' in the Forum; before, being given the power and authority, that comes with being a "Moderator".
