Patricia,
You will need to go into each person and edit their name. Once you have done this the fan shaped tree will reflect the new information. Hope this helps,
Carol

Ok thankyou. I will have a go. I wouldn't worry but the mistakes are on mine and my parents names so they stick out like a sore thumb😂

That was so easy thank you. I don't know why I didn't think of it😁

PLEASE; Please; please ...
.
DO NOT "Change" the 'Family Name'/'Surname' Name of individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' to that of "Capitals"/"Upper Case" Letters, simply for the printing of a "Pedigree" Chart.
.
By doing so you may be unnecessarily "Changing" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that are well "Documented" and "Sourced", that where "Created" by other Users/Patrons some time ago.
.
Having the 'Family Name'/'Surname' Name of individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' in "Capitals"/"Upper Case" Letters is NOT (and, NO LONGER) a preferred standard/option.
.
Rather than "Changing" the 'Family Name' / 'Surname' Name of individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', as such, there is ANOTHER option.
.
You NEED to explore the "Charting" options in the "Solutions Gallery" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
That way you will most probably be able to do what you desire, WITHOUT "Changing" what is recorded in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...

ps: I am sorry if I appear curt; but, I am concerned with "Changing" the 'Family Name'/'Surname' Name of individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' to that of "Capitals"/"Upper Case" Letters, simply for the printing of a "Pedigree" Chart.

pps: I hope I do not offend by this response of mine.

I totally understand your concern as I realise how much work goes in to creating every entry. I admit I am a total novice but I only corrected my own typos. I put capital letters at the start of my parents and my names and these were people I created.
I hope this is ok, the last thing I want to do is upset people. Family research has become a very facinating hobby.

I do agree that changing capitalization for the sole purpose of printing is probably not a good idea.
keep in mind that this is a collaborative database - and any updates you do - can and will affect others users also researching those same families
If we were talking about a "private set of records" - where you were the owner - that would be one thing - but this is a collaborative database where no single person has ownership of any tree/record - and other users may have done just the opposite of you are doing (converting UPPER case surnames to not be all capital - and you may be undoing their work.)

As I Said I only changed entries I had made myself. So instead of patricia, I put Patricia. I don't see how this can affect any ones research. In fact, my Grandads name was spelled wrong but I left it as it was.

I feel Patricia was not trying to change a surname on her lines. I appears her inputs were on living people and she just made a mistype on the the Capital letters of those names. I don't see anything wrong with correcting that? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks,
Carol

Thank you, yes that is exactly what I did. 😀

it was a bit ambiguous
if it was merely to correct a mis-entered entry thats perfectly fine
but if it was to change the format of how the names of people in general were capitalized cross the many people in the chart - thats what Brett and I were discussing
I guess it is unclear which case the user was referring to.

Then I apologize
if it was just something you mistyped and then corrected - that perfectly fine.

Hey, no problem. I fully understand what we are all trying to say.
Keep smiling and bear with me 😆

@patricia Venus By the way, it is okay to change someone's name, birthdate, death place, etc., if after checking their sources you find different information.
For example, I am researching a John Hunter whose wife is listed as Sarah Hunter. Women should be listed in the tree with their maiden name not married name. So, if I find Sarah's maiden name on her marriage record to be Jackson, then I should replace her married name of Hunter with her maiden name of Jackson to reflect what is recorded on her marriage source. If we all work together to complete a person's record the best we can, it is a good thing!
Family history research is so enjoyable! I have loved learning more about my family. I hope you have a wonderful family history journey!😁
