I am searching for my friends birth father, she has been told his name was Trevor Davis and he was on a merchant ship that came to New Zealand in 1963

According to family he came back a year later to find Donela and the baby but they had gone. So if you have a father/grandfather/uncle with that name had was a seaman pleaseget in touch. My friend has had her DNA done but has no immediate family just distant relatives, HELP HELP HELP​
