25 Italian workers stayed in Kadelburg for a couple of month

@Friedrich Mensing I am referring your question to the Italian Research Group @Italy Genealogy Research.

I am working on a local family book of our community Kadelburg in southern Germany, situated near the r.border.

During my research I find in an old citizens' book two lists of 25 Italian workers who lived privately in Kadelburg for some months around the year 1876/1877.

These workers came from northern Italy, from the Milan to Venice area, and were on average 30 years old.

The lists contain first name, surname, hometown, profession, date of arrival and departure, year of birth.

At the moment I have no explanation for their presence in Kadelburg and am now looking for contact with Italian family researchers.

I would be interested in further data and these lists could also help interested family researchers in Italy.

Thanks for help,

Friedrich Mensing

It is fantastic that you came upon this information and that you want to share it with others who may have an interest in Italians who lived/worked in the Kadelburg community. May you have great success putting your book together.
