Where can I find the DOB, marriage or death of my great grandfather? Calbria, Cantanzaro, Italy. This is wide spread and can't narrow to Nicastro.
You can also look in the FamilySearch catalog for Catanzaro at https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/index.php?search=Cantanzaro%2C%20Italy&title=Special%3ASearch&fulltext=1 What is your grandfather's name, what do you know about him, do you know any thing about his family. If he is in the FamilySearch Family Tree what is his ID number

It looks like the archives in Catanzaro are working on supplying more records on line. However the only records there are the ones I have placed the URLs below. Your grandparents were born about 1877 That means that your great grandfather Domenico was probably born in about 1857 Just after the records are available. However he could have been born earlier and is included in the births there. Look ta the children. Naming patterns for Italian families were the first born was named after the paternal Grandfather and the second after the maternal grandfather. So we see Domenico Leone **** the paternal grandfather and the first son of Antonio and rose was Dominick Leone (1898 – 1916) born in Italy. The second son is James (1906-1964) Washington, Pa (Giacomo is the Italian spelling for JAmes) You did not list Rose's father's name but there is a good chance it was Giacomo . Same naing pattern for the daughters. Antonio mother's name was Maria Nicolazzo The first daughter was Mary (1907-2002) Washington, Pa and most probably the next daughter born had the maternal grandmothers name Joanna (1909-2002) born Washington, Pa. which could be a derivation of Giovanna. We know Roses maiden name was Montano. So look through the records on line for these possibilities.
births 1823-1857
deaths 1832-1851
births 1809
The only other thing you can do is write to the municipio to obtain the original birth certificates until they up date the on line records on antenati.
Good Luck
Toni

You mentioned that you have Antonio's birth certificate in Italian. Those Italian birth certificates normally indicate the current Catholic parish, the origin of the parents and sometimes their ages on that record. Could you please post a copy in order to verify those details if you are not comfortable with Italian? Once you are sure they are from Nicastro and their possible ages you will find records for Nicastro, Italy 1809-1860 in the FamilySearch Catalog :https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/747687?availability=Family%20History%20Library.
It should have your great grandparents info, assuming they are indeed from Nicastro. This same record set may not cover your great grandfather's marriage, depending on the date.
If they are not from Nicastro, then let us know and we'll help you find those records on FamilySearch Catalog.
For their marriage date, if it's not before 1860, then I suggest you contact the town or parish records office. Start with the Catholic parish of Antonio's baptism. Also, you should be able to locate Antonio's siblings if you do not already have that info. Here's a link to town and parish records. (You may have to do a Google and FaceBook search to get more contact info for a particular parish.) http://italia.indettaglio.it/eng/calabria/catanzaro_lameziaterme_nicastrosambiase.html#chiese
There currently is no parish in Nicastro so here's a link to the town Lamezia Terme which likely has their records: http://italia.indettaglio.it/eng/calabria/lameziaterme.html#chiese.
Please let us know if you need translation help and whether or not you need to locate other towns other than Nicastro. Also, if you need help contacting the government and church offices in Italy we can connect you to some great helps.
Best of luck!
