I would like help deciphering the place name on the second to last line of this church entry that reads, "Conradt Höhn von ________ eheliche Tochter." The rest of the record has been translated, so I need only the place name.

The record is from the Gründau KB, near Langenselbold in the Main-Kinzig district. The KB contains records from the villages of Gründau, Niedergründau, Mittelgründau, Lieblos, Rothenbergen, Roth and Gettenbach.

I looked at this last week and couldn't find the right location; it definitely looks like it starts with an H and ends with "ig," but the middle is unclear. The closest possibility I've found is Hilsig (it might be spelled something like Halrig in the entry), which is about 70 km from Niedergründau. The place names have undergone vowel shifts and are sometimes abbreviated; for example, Niedergründau in various entries in this book is written Niederegrin. I'm also not seeing the same place in your entry listed in any other entries, which is an indication that it's somewhat farther away, so Hilsig is a possibility.

Thanks very much. I also thought it started with 'h' and ended in 'ig' and consisted of six letters. I'll search to see if I can find anything.
