When there are fewer names on a page than the amount of fields provided - how do I move on?
I am indexing for the first time. I was given a "batch" scanned page with 5 names on it. There are 50 empty records provided for my batch. After indexing these five names I cannot go to the next page it is marked "reference only, do not index". If I try and submit the batch it shows 438 errors for the 45 empty records with the fields empty. Do I have to press <blank> for all of those fields?

Hi Christine. You have to delete the empty records to get the batch to submit. Click on the Trash Can icon (7th from left), choose "all blank entries", click delete. The blank records disappear and your last entry will have Submit Batch! If you haven't found the group yet, I'll share this post with @Indexing Chat. You can join the group by clicking on the Join tab at the top of the page!

As I understand it, the <blank> tag indicates that there is no information found on the page that is relevant to the field you have selected.
Also, you can delete entries as a whole if they're blank/unneeded. There should be a trashcan symbol somewhere on the toolbar of your indexing window, which, upon clicking, will give you the option to either delete your current entry, or all entries.

Should I delete all the 45 other empty records provided before I submit my batch page? There were only 5 names/records to index and 50 empty records to fill in.
