i imagine there are various people who can help you find answers.
but on the other hand - you cant just assume that every single person - will be able to link up with ancestors from FamilySearch Family Tree - because FS FT is by no means complete.
so some families will have to INPUT Their family records - and find what else they can find to add from primary historical records - and it will be this information that generations to come will find to hook up to in FS FT.
but if you consider all the people who ever lived and died on planet earth
I am guessing that probably less than 5 % are in FS FT.
of course that is much higher for people of American/European ancestry.
as time goes on - FS FT will become more and more complete.
did you look for their names in the historical records section?
have you looked for parish records of that specific city/town in Mexico?

How were you expecting to 'hook up with a line of ancestors'? Have you entered these names you've listed in Family Tree with your friend's account? Is it that you cannot find any of these people already listed in Family Tree? If you can clarify what you were expecting and what system you were using, we can try to help you.

Also, this is a public forum. You probably shouldn't be posting private information about living individuals here for the world to see.

@SuzanneCritchfield3 I would also encourage you or your friend to join the Community groups that focus on Western United States, Central American, Latin American, and possibly even European Research in places like Spain. Here are some of those respective groups (I've now tagged them in this conversation, so they can chime in if they want to) that could help you:
@Western United States Research
@Latin American Genealogy Research
@Preguntas Generales
@FamilySearch – España
Take Luck!

In looking at the people you have added, it looks like for these individuals you will need to see if you can learn any more information as there are multiple people with these names in the area. Does he have an approximate year or place where born, the second surname, any names of siblings, etc? If he doesn't know, does he have any relatives he can ask that may know? Unfortunately FamilySearch only has civil registrations for Coeneo through 1930 currently, so it's not going to be possible to get death certificates that will name parents to narrow things down. We'll need an approximate date of birth or names of siblings, a little bit more information to narrow down who these individuals were in the records.
