I would like help on how to find my fathers ancestry

I know his name and appriximate birth year and where he was born. How do i do that?

Advanced hint:

I always try to add a minimal amount of information in to the search functions, unless I am researching a very common name. I try to allow the system to show me the best matches that it can. If I get too many results, I try to narrow my search down by providing additional details or requesting exact matches.
