Smith, Melvun
Should I just leave it like that or should I put "Melvun or Melvin"
Thanks!

When we index, we type what is on the document. So, even though you might think a name is spelled or typed wrong, we index the name as it is written. We use the "Or" when it is a variation of the name, a nickname, or an alias that is seen on the document. For example, if a document had Melvun Smith written on it and later the name was signed as Melvin Smith, then you would use Melvun or Melvin. If you haven't already visited and joined the group @Indexing Chat, you should check it out! Lots of good questions like this and there are almost 1500 indexers and reviewers in the group.
