Genealogical Challenge of the day:

Can anyone identify this Mrs. Lucy Churchill (married name) of New England?

Who were her parents/husband?

There's a record in Ancestry for a Mary Churchill, daughter of Charles and Lucy Churchill. It's a cemetery inscription from Connecticut, Hale Collection of Cemetery Inscriptions and Newspaper Notices, 1629-1934. She died Oct. 25, 1834 at the age of 2 years. On the same page, there's also a Charles who died Apr. 21, 1840 at 71 and Charles, Jr. who died Aug. 19, 1841 at 40. There are some others that could be the same family, viz. another Charles md. to a Ruth. It might be worth looking at. I'd be interested to know if you do any further research on this person/these people.

This is the most likely identity that K Mosher shared:

    SAMPLER CHURCHILL

"This is probably Lucy Otis KVJB-76V. Her oldest daughter (Sophia Churchill) married a Penniman--probably Eliza Penniman MV19-6YH is Eliza Lenniman."
