Hofer, Fiala, and Kisling families from Czechoslovakia
I am looking for information on my ancestors from former Czechoslovakia. This is the information I have so far.
Johann Hofer (born ?, died ? in Toestitz) married Maria Kisling (born ?, died ? in Gross-Tajax)
Johann Hofer and Maria Kisling had a son also named Johann Hofer (born Jun 25, 1901 in Toestitz, died Feb 13, 1974 in Ludwigsburg, Germany). He married Agnes Fiala (born Jan 21, 1901 in Wischenau, died c.1976)
Agnes Fiala's parents were Heinrich Fiala and Josefa Svoboda.

Yes, we would love to help you. Please tell us the sources for the places you have found.
We looked up on Genteam.at to find the parishes. Genteam is free but you must register. I am still researching your Toestitz town but here is Gross Tajax

We need to see the source that states Toestitz to determine a correct spelling. Here is more info on Dyjakovice: https://en.mapy.cz/zakladni?x=16.3119916&y=48.7608756&z=12&source=muni&id=6023 and here is a historic map that shows Groß Tajax.

Are you able to read the script? If not look at the links posted on the top left hand side under "Links" for help with the handwriting. These classes are the first step. I do not speak Czech or German (which is in many of these records) but can transcribe fairly well using word glossaries. You will have many more records like this to transcribe so now it the time to start your learning curve. Please write what you can figure out and post and we will help with what you can't understand.

@Betseylee Browning Thank you so much for the information you have already found. I will look at everything as soon as possible. My only source is a handwritten family tree written by my grandparents (who eventually moved to Canada) about 40 years ago. Here is the part with Toestitz:
I think Toestitz is close to Vienna but that could be wrong.

Thank you!!

I also realized I forgot to write that Maria Kisling's father was Paul Kisling. Anna Maria is completely new information.

I would highly suggest posting all your info on FamilySearch Family Tree so we can access the Historical Records on FamilySearch easily. Also I would like to see this all in genealogical form.

There is a Hofer tree in MyHeritage that will make your record searching much easier and I would contact the owner of the gedcom Martin Hauck. It does not show the sources. He is related to you but the dates he is listing don't add up so more research is needed to fit the two lines together.

He has the wrong date for Johann Hofer as we have the marriage and christening record above. Here is his info. I think something is up that we don't understand. More research is needed to tie his line into yours. It should be 15 Jun 1864. Father: Lorentz Hofer and Theresia Adam. Anna Marie was born 17 May 1865.

@Betseylee Browning I will contact the owner of that tree on MyHeritage. The marriage of Johann and Anna Maria can't be a coincidence. I will also start putting together a tree here to make things easier. We already have a lot more than I expected to find.

And they are from the same parish. It seems that everyone is from the same parish so there is a ton more that you can find. Have you started the handwriting webinars yet? I would keep your email to simple English as I think he is Czech.

I haven't started the webinars yet, but when I have time to do that I think it will make reading these old documents a lot easier.

@Betseylee Browning Hi, thank you for all your help. Maria Kisling's birth record was a breakthrough. I have been able to find a lot of ancestors and will be put in touch with a family I am related to in Germany. This is a tree someone else created and I've been able to fill in some of the blanks for them: https://blum.familyds.com/individual.php?pid=I81117&ged=Blum
