Can you tell me why FamilySearch no longer works.? I have been using it for years but now I cannot use it since the middle of May.
"Search" is not loaded.
"Free account", "sign in", Email" "create account" get me nowhere.
"Sign in" has rotating rings.

I have a Free Account, with a password, that I usually sign in with.

I also have cookies. Can you tell me if FamilySearch is compatible with my computer which is a XP. "Help" gets me nowhere.

Thank you.

The first thing I could think of was maybe the Internet wasn't connected, but you said this has been going on since the middle of May, so I threw that out the window. :)

Has your computer updated in a while? That could be part of the problem.

Another thing that might be causing the issues is what browser you are using. Do you use Firefox, Chrome, or another browser? This article from FamilySearch on Browser Compatibility might help: https://www.familysearch.org/help/salesforce/viewArticle?urlname=FamilySearch-Browser-Compatibility-and-Support-Policy-1381815327313&lang=en

Hope that helps you solve your problem!

    .

Is this what you are seeing:

    .

    FireFox _ Sign In _ New Top Line Menu _ Zoom _ 120 Percent _ 1

    .

If that is the case; then, to access "FamilySearch", select the Three (x3) "Lines" in the Top 'right hand corner' ...

    .

    Pictorially:

    .

    FireFox _ Sign In _ New Top Line Menu _ Zoom _ 120 Percent _ 1a

    .

    Then you get this ...

    .

    FireFox _ Sign In _ New Top Line Menu _ Zoom _ 120 Percent _ 2

    .

Where you can access the "Sign In" ...

    .

    Now ...

    That said ...

    .

If so; then, that could be that the "Zoom" on your "Browser" is much greater that 100%.

    .

In the above image the "Zoom" on the "Browser" is 120%.

    .

    FireFox _ Sign In _ New Top Line Menu _ Zoom _ 120 Percent _ 3

    .

Reduce the "Zoom" on your "Browser" to 100% and see if that works.

    .

Which should give you this ...

    .

    FireFox _ Sign In _ New Top Line Menu _ Zoom _ 120 Percent _ 4

    .

If not then that may be a matter of Screen (Monitor) "Size" and "Resolution"; where, that is another matter.

    .

    I hope this helps.

Windows XP has not been updated since April 2014. That is most likely your problem. I'm a bit surprised it worked as long as it did and that you can get any of the web page to load at all.

XP and any browser that would work with it are probably so full of security holes, that I would be very nervous about using them on the internet at all.

You really need to update to the latest version of your favorite browser and at least the minimum version of operating system that browser requires which is still being maintained and updated by the developer.
