Is there a way to undo a merge

Yes. You can go to the deleted person and Restore that person's record. If it was the most recent change to the undeleted person, the system can usually pull the two records apart back to their original state. If, however, the merge happened some time ago and more changes have been made to the final record after the merge, you will need to go through the record and make sure the sources, and relationships are correct for both individuals.

Short Answer: 'Yes', in many cases ...

But, in some cases, it can be complicated/complex.

Sometimes it will be an "Unmerge"; whereas, sometimes it CANNOT be an "Unmerge"; and, it MUST/WILL BE a "Restore" - where you are "Restoring" the "Deleted" person/individual; but, NOT "Unmerging" those merged/combined.
