Not sure what I’ve found here but it looks to be a valuable source of information... lists births, marriages, deaths etc. all FREE!!

This is a great book! I was surprised how many different areas that it covers. It is easy to search. I was hoping that some of my Christian ancestors would show up, but I haven't found any yet. I haven't given up looking though.

Interesting! Looks like it's a Presbyterian newspaper for all over the US. There are some really cute letters from kids in here. It would be great if it could be OCRd and then have some AI applied so the names could be pulled out of it that people could search....

Hi @Janell Vasquez I’m able to search the book within the page that opens from the link I shared (I use the search box provided by google). 😊 Also, if you click on “free ebook”, you can just use “ctrl f” to search or use the search feature from the options menu in google books😊 hope that was helpful 😊

Agreed, it is easy to search. I will check further for some of my other ancestors. I hoped to find a family member that was a minister in the Midwest, but I didn't. I was entertained by the information that this book contained though. Thanks x24mom.

Yeah, my problem is that my ancestor's last name is "Pleasant" and unfortunately that is a very common word in these old newspapers! 😆 So I was thinking that there are probably a lot of very common names that would also be hard to search on.
Glancing through this morning, I came across letters from little ones. Page 17 in a couple issues. Wow! Rather than an indexing project, it would be fun to snip those and find the people in the Tree they went with and add the snips to those people, if only you could be sure they were the same person. Those are pretty fun.

Janell, I feel your pain. My ancestor's last name is East. I get all the information that contains directions and if the search doesn't produce East, sometimes I learn about West!
It would be fun to add the little personal story info to the Memories section. I am sure this would be a PLEASANT surprise.
