I have hit a brick wall with my Irish ancestry . James Burnett ( 2XT5-6KY ) and his wife Anne Thomps
On the shipping list it mentioned that James came from County Tyrone and
that his father was John Burnett ( KJQY-63S ) who was deceased in 1841 and his mother ( Mary Lilly Leckill -KJQY-6SS ) was also deceased in 1841
I can find no further information on John or Mary .
Can you make any suggestions ? Geoff ( g.liddicoat@bigpond.com )

Looks like 'James' was from "County Tyrone" in Ireland (that part, nowadays: Northern Ireland)

Bro. Geoff,
Did you go into Search, Records, then put John Burnetts name and date of death , search by spouse and North Ireland and just click search and see what comes up. Im sure you will find a James showing as his son on one of the census records or images. Whatever you can see on results. Or search his son James before he left Ireland, which may show more informaton on John and Mary as his parents. Its called stepping back a generation. Quite often there are records that show more information than you expect on Parents through school enrolments, birth certificates, baptismal, christenings...or even marriage certificates.
You may like to look in unindexed images only. Scroll down past Indexed Historical Records.
Good Irish Luck!!
