If your "Biological" Father is still "Living"; then, it is up to him how he wants his details to be recorded.
.
Whereas; if, your "Biological" Father is "Deceased"; then, it is up to you and your "Living" Siblings (and/or, his "Living" Spouse/Wife) how his details should be recorded - that is a matter of "Collaboration".
.
The choice:
.
Option 1:
.
"Birth" Name in "Vitals" Section; with, the "Legal" Name "Change" as an "Alternate Name" in the "Other Information" Section.
.
Of course, good "Reason Statements" need to included.
.
Option 2:
.
"Legal" Name "Change" in "Vitals" Section"; with, "Birth" Name as an "Alternate Name" in the "Other Information" Section.
.
Of course, good "Reason Statements" need to included.
.
Personally, I prefer "Option 1".
.
Whereas, "FamilySearch" suggests "Option 2" (but, with 'riders'/'caveats').
.
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in "FamilySearch":
.
How do I enter my ancestor's name if it changed?
.
Where it states:
Quote
----------
Legal name changes are an exception.
• For a legal name change, enter the most recent legal name in the Vitals section.
• If the person did not use the legal name in life, you have the option to enter the commonly used name in the Vitals section and the legal name in the Other Information section.
• When record sources do not use the legal name, enter the variations in the Other Information section.

.
There is another 'alternate' option, if you are interested, I can 'Message' you, let me know.
.
I hope this helps.
