Bug on the to do list - items not showing on different browsers

I added some tasks to do the to do list when I was at home.

I am now at the library, those tasks are not there. However, when I access the tasks on my mobile phone browser, they're visible.

There appears to be a synchronisation bug.

    @J-3094 This is a long-standing bug. There was a discussion about it here (closed without resolution) over a year ago (October 2024). It was known to FS Engineering prior to that time and is an intermittent problem.

    The problem occurs, not only when you use different devices, but also when you use different flavours of browser (e.g. Chrome vs Firefox vs Edge) on the same device.

    I'll flag your post to ask a moderator if there is any update from Engineering.

    Being an intermittent problem that does not affect everyone the same, it is harder for the engineers to pin down the issue. I sent it back up the line to see if anything can be done.

    @sc woz - I wonder how intermittent it is?

    I just entered a ToDo item in my Chrome browser on my Windows PC. It has not appeared in my Firefox Browser on the same PC.

    I reversed the process with similar results. A ToDo item entered in the Firefox Browser on my PC has not yet appeared in Chrome.

    No, I am not about to clear my cookies and site data because that will mean I need to login to all my services again.

    I then logged into FS via Firefox on my Android phone and it picked up the 2 ToDo items there - but I have not logged into FS via that mechanism "in a month of Sundays".

    Unsurprisingly (now) a ToDo item then entered via Firefox on my Android phone has not appeared. Nor will my Android Firefox pick up a further ToDo item subsequently entered on my Chrome browser Windows PC, i.e. the up to dateness of Android is strictly confined to opening.

    I would add that in all cases I have used the "Reload" facility in the browsers - to no avail. It isn't reloading - or at least not what I call reloading.

    Conversely… If I look at a profile in FS, then clicking the Reload button will update the Recently Viewed list in all 3 platforms. Though sadly it didn't trigger an update of the ToDo list in the same session! 😏

    Suggestion - since the ToDo list propagation isn't working but the Recently Viewed propagation is working, then the engineers need to cut their losses and use the Recently Viewed propagation logic for the ToDos as well.
