Merge Issue
I am trying to merge duplicate profiles L1J5-482 and L1J5-MFC but it gives an error message saying that you can't merge spouses. Neither profile has a spouse listed. Please help!

It looks like, if there is a living spouse wrongly attached, which we of course can't see. I recall having had this situation myself, but was able to correct as I myself created the living spouses.

You can try to contact the user who created both of the entries on the same day in 2018, and ask about the living spouse(s). It is still a question, why the same person was created as male and female too.

When I tried the merge in Beta (after correcting the sex), the full message is "A spouse cannot be merged with his or her spouse."
Since the L1J5-MFC was originally a male (named "Helen"), then I suspect that it's a good bet that @Lars van Ravenzwaaij 's suggestion of a living spouse has something to do with what's happened. After all if one profile is the wrong sex, then if there is an invisible marriage, then things are probably awry on that profile as well. So goodness knows what the merge routines make of it…

Solved merge in elaborate one off way that not even sure how to explain and found 3rd profile with same person with parents and siblings also merged
