    .

The only think that you can do is to keep changing the records back to what they were; and, also, 'Message; the other User/Patron through "User Messaging" of "FamilySearch" (or, direct "E-mail", if that is available) trying to 'collaborate' with them.

    .

If the records prior to the change by the other User/Patron were NOT supported by "Sources" (ie. "Evidence"); then, you should try to find some to attach; and/or, if "Sources" are not available to attach; then, add the "Details" from "Official" Documents in "Reason Statements", to support the what is recorded.

    .

Whereas, if the records prior to the change by the other User/Patron WERE supported by "Sources" (ie. "Evidence"); then, you can try to 'Reason' with them; especially, if their changes are NOT supported by "Sources" (ie. "Evidence"). But, be warned, this does not always wok. Some Users/Patrons will NOT be swayed on what they think they know/believe, regardless of supporting "Sources" (ie. "Evidence").

    .

And, it sounds like you will have an 'uphill' battle with a "Reason Statement" notation that reads "... it is what it is ...".

    .

Some people like to, look at life through 'rose coloured glasses'; and, 'whitewash' history; especially, if that history is not altogether pleasing to them.

    .

Many of us have been there; and, done that.

    .

Sometimes it works; and, sometimes it does not work.

    .

As I said, some people will NOT be swayed on what they think they know/believe, regardless of supporting "Sources" (ie. "Evidence").

    .

"Collaboration" is the key, just keep at it; eventually, some Users/Patrons 'give up', sometimes not.

    .

I know that this does not help; but, I hope it gives you some perspective.

    .

Sources are not technically required by the system though . . .

    (as you well can see)

You should message them with specific questions. If this is not helpful, then just change the information back to the correct info and then "Watch" the profile.
