create and update a new family line

I have found records (birth, census, military)for people with the same last name as my mother but I don't believe they are related. I cannot find them in FamilySearch. I would like to enter them and, if I find more of their relatives, update family search with the information. Who knows, if I get lucky, maybe their will be a connection.

    @John Stockton_1

    .

    That is easily, done, and, handled ...

    .

    Just add them into "Family Tree" of "Familyearch" as an "Unconnected Person" ...

    .

    That feature/function/facility can be found under "Recents", right down at the bottom.

    .

    Unconnected Person _ Pedigree _ Recents

    .

    Just remember to note their "Details" [including their 'FamilySearch Person Identifier (PID)]; as, they can be difficult to find, latter on down the track, when you actually want them. One simple way to do this is to add them to your "Watch" List of those individuals/persons that you are "Watching".

    .

    Here is a "Knowledge Article" in "FamilySearch":

    .

    How do I add an unconnected person to Family Tree?

    .

    I hope this helps.
