How to correct indexing error with "edit" grayed out.

Irene's indexed obituary list John as her brother or son (11 times) with no John mention in the article. Can not find feedback to have you correct this error.

    This is the second report of a significant problem with this particular collection:

    It can't be edited and FamilySearch probably can't do anything because it is not their index. From what I can find in google, Domega isn't a genealogy company so you do have to wonder if they know what they are doing.

    My problem is that obituaries are showing the wrong year. Example below it said publication is 19 May 2024 but the person died 14 years earlier in 2010. I know that Salisbury Post didn't rerun the obituary 14 years later.

    I come across this multiple times a week. I don't know if AI is doing this or what. I can change the date of source in left hand column on source page. Can't fix date of publication even to the year of death (not necessarily the month and day).

    I can't figure out how to post this as a question of my own so I posted on this since it has to do with errors in indexing

    Just talked with Family search and they confirmed that this was indexed by  Domega also. I guess will have to wait on Domega to get their act together and correct or allow us to correct their mistakes.

    I wonder why FamilySearch is allowing this collection to remain accessible through its website. Perhaps the "positives" outweigh the several reports of errors being reported here. FamilySearch's own poorly indexed material can cause enough confusion, so surely there could at least be a management review of the integrity of this third-party collection?

    I guess the question is, would the users with concerns about that index ever found have these obituaries out there without it or been able to access it without a paid subscription to some site?

    Also, we have no idea what the error rate actually is. Are these three reported errors occurring at a rate 3 out of 30 obituaries? 3 out of 3000? 3 out of 3,000,000? If the error rate is 0.0001% there is no reason to get rid of the entire collection. For all we know, management did review the database before posting it.
