How can a reviewer change No, no extractable data to YES? I'm not allowed to change what the indexer has put, because whatever I put in is overridden by the program.

I am reviewing this batch: indexing/batch/66fce074-c83e-416b-8ca5-cc7463c62c0f#, and the card is marked No, no extractable data. I can't change it to YES by pushing on the down arrow or by typing in Yes.

The information that you provided in an attempt to share the batch does not work, so I cannot view the batch.

A proper way to share a batch is to copy the full name of the batch from the header line of the indexing tool or click the third icon from the right end of the Indexing toolbar and copy the link that is shown. Paste either or preferably both into your message.

Several people have recently reported not being able to change No, no extractable data to YES. If you change it and it keeps changing back, you should report this to FamilySearch Support. use the Feedback button that is near the top right corner of the image area. This will automatically include the batch information in the message that is sent to them.

Finally. I invite you to join the @Indexing Chat group where we discus topics related to Indexing and reviewing.

    Thanks for asking.

When I've experienced this problem, I exit the project and then reload. I'm usually able to make the necessary changes. Worth a try.

If you click on images the option will appear where you can change the declaration to yes -- Then click back on entries and you will be able to index the image

My problem is the opposite. I can't index a previously marked "yes" as "No, No extractable data" because the option does not come up. It goes to yes, despite the fact that it should be no. How doe we change this? I tried to call for help and was told I'd get a callback, but never did.

@MaryBeth Lipp Hi - its possible you need to clear FS cookies. Go to https://www.familysearch.org/cookies and click on Yes --this will clear only FS cookies - it will not effect any other computer settings. Also, please give the batch code in brackets, ie [XXXX-XXX] and the Project Title then keep the batch in question in your queue and wait for an answer in this Forum--much quicker than a call back in most cases 😎 Let us know if this works.
