Familyseach does not create gedcoms so a 3rd party software needs to be used to create that gedcom needed. Sometimes when you set up an Ancestry account, when first starting it can import 4 generations but it will not move everything automatically.

There are various 3rd party apps that can do this.

I have used Rootsmagic. which can download ancestors of X or descendants of X

I have used it up to like 7 or 8 generations - but thats a ton of people

you sit there waiting for the numbers to go painfully slow (with that many generations)

GEDCOM does not include any media - and only basic vital info.

As has already been proffered by 'Cindy' and 'Dennis' ...

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" DOES NOT have "Export" capabilities ...

    .

The best course of action is to try one or a number of the "Third Party" Programmes, both, 'on-line' and 'standalone', that are "Certified" to work with "FamilySearch".

    .

Some of those programmes will allow one to "Synchronise" (eg. transfer/download) the "Deceased" individuals/persons from "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" to those "Third Party" Programmes; and, that "Synchronisation" generally works both ways.

    .

The various "Third Party" Programmes, both, 'on-line' and 'standalone', that are "Certified" to work with "FamilySearch" can be found in the "Solutions Gallery" of "FamilySearch":

    .

    https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/

    .

    Explore.

    Try them out.

See which one or ones that suit you.

You can use more than one, if you desire.

    .

    Enjoy.

    I hope this helps.
