parish microfilm in Poland?
My tree has grown, and I need to search Parish microfilm for Poland. Microfilm I have viewed in the past for many Parish records remotely is now only available for viewing at a family history branch. Unfortunately for me I have limited mobility and I'm unable to travel. When will the microfilm be available again for remote viewing. Thank You

Have you used the National Digital Archives at szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl?

Yes, I have used the Polish archives website as well as others. I appreciate the suggestion, the archives do not have scans of the parishes that I need to do research in, as well as the early 1800s are not yet available online.

I just tried to look at microfilm for Polish parish records and microfilm that I was searching earlier today are now unavailable. I don't understand what is going on and why remote viewing is being restricted.

FamilySearch must comply with contracts with the record holders and any laws of the locality. As an example, this recent thread highlights a new law that has made records from Peru unavailable.
There have also been some recent glitches that made some records unavailable for a short time. Records from both Italy and Cook County, Illinois were impacted.
I'm tagging a mod who may be able to check the status of the Polish records. Since it's the weekend, you may not receive an immediate reply. Best of luck.
@SerraNola please?

@Nancy Kwasniewski Scott Do the films you are trying to access have dates that fall within the record privacy laws for Poland—less than 100 years for births and less than 80 years for marriages and deaths? Fanilysearch is continually making changes to bring records into compliance. If you have questions, report the film numbers and we can check into it.

Szukajwarchiwach has recently removed access to a lot of East Prussian records for some reason. It's very bizarre — they used to have a lot of records I needed, but suddenly they don't. I haven't heard what's going on over there yet.

Hello Serra,
The microfilm I am searching are well over 100 years old, early 1800s. I can send you the microfilm numbers tomorrow. The microfilm I am searching are from the Bydgoszcz/Wloclawek area. The parishes are, Lipno, Czarne, Karnkowo, Wielgie, Skepe, Tluchowo, Kikol, and some in Torun.
Does this information help?
Thank You

Serra,
this is a partial list of microfilm just for the Parish of Lipno in the Kujawsko-Pomeriana province.
#716606 1808-1823,#714854 1824-1830, #716596 item1-3 1810-1813, #716596 item4 1810-1813, 716596 item5-9 1817-1822, #716597 1825-1835, #716601 item4 1810-1817, #716601 item5 1812-1817, #716602 item1 1817-1824, #716602 item2, #716602 item3 and #716604 item1. As you can see this is a partial list just for the Parish of Lipno. Many of the microfilm for the parishes I am researching are restricted access and can only be viewed at a branch of FHL. If I had the ability to travel then that would be possible for me, being homebound is quite a different story.
Thank You

@Nancy Kwasniewski Scott Sorry for the late reply. Apparently the films you need are being restricted not by the law of Poland, but by the rules dictated by the archival ownership. They can only be accessed at a FS Center or an affiliated library. If you have a name and an approximate date for an event (baptism, marriage, or burial) and provide the film number, you could post here and request that a kind soul look it up for you. I wish you well in your research.

@Nancy Kwasniewski Scott I visit my affiliate library or FSC most weeks, and I often do look-ups for other researchers. If you can supply the details of who/what/when, I'll be happy to try to help.

hello Serra,
In your response for restricted viewing of Poland microfilm, you had stated archival ownership, does this refer to the archives in Wloclawek Poland or FHL archives? Just looking for clarification.
Thank You

@Nancy Kwasniewski Scott I was referring to the State Archives in Bydgoszcz, where FamilySearch originally microfilmed these parish records.
