Marriage Certificate
Hi, I have found one record for the marriage of my great-grandparents in Paterson, NJ:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FZKY-Y5B?lang=en&cid=fs_copy
There is no document to view. I have searched through Paterson, Passaic County and NJ marriage records for that time (1890's) but have come up with nothing. I'm looking to obtain a copy of the original certificate.
Any suggestions on what next steps I should take to use the information in this record to find the actual certificate, or a new official certification of this event?
Thank you!

No luck with marriage record, but here's a naturalization record I think belongs to him…

Thanks Mark! I actually have that record, but I don't have any naturalization records for Rosa, except for a passport application in 1922. That, and the marriage record, is what I need at the moment.

New Jersey marriage records, for the most part, are not online but are easily available.
The fastest, and least expensive way to obtain a copy from the NJ Archives is to use a private researcher. I use one I can recommend. We don't offer services for hire in this Community, but send me a DM (click on my username and then the message option), and I will give you her contact info.

In the time period when Frederick was naturalized, his wife would have received derivative citizenship from his naturalization. For good background on Women and Naturalization.

Mark, I did see the article before. The passport application comes up like this, don't know if it's the same one I have.

There's a reason I need this information on Rosa's naturalization status, method and timing. I'll keep everyone here posted in what I find.

Thanks, I saw the passport photo. I now have a copy of her marriage certificate, and Passaic County Clerk is sending a document stating they have found no naturalization document. but it all may be for naught, as last month the Italian government introduced more restrictive citizenship laws. We won't know for sure what form they take until the end of May.
Is this just a hobby of yours, or are we connected some way?

Thank you @Áine Ní Donnghaile! I've enjoyed expanding my mother's work before she had Alzheimers and passed away. She did most of her research with pen and paper, and still had family elders to talk to.
