How does one correct the parents' names of my father?
My father's name is listed as son to his adoptive parents, which really confuses relationships records. Lester Pratt GMP9-RPC is not biologically related to Effie Angelica Cook LWY8-FBS. But history picks up from that.

There doesn't seem to be any need to "correct" these relationships. In the Parents and Siblings section of his profile page, Lester Pratt is shown as the adoptive son of John and Effie, and the son of George and Minnie. The relationship with George and Minnie doesn't have explicit relationship types of "Biological"; you can add those if you want to. If there is no relationship type specified, the system treats that as equivalent to "Biological".
If you are concerned that when you use the pedigree views, etc., the chart shows John and Effie as his parents, then you can change that by changing his preferred parents. There are instructions for doing that in the Help Center article How do I set the preferred spouse or parents in Family Tree? This article has an embedded video. The choice that you make will affect only your view of the relationship; other users can make their own choices. This is a picture of what you will see when you go to make the change from Lester's profile page.
Apropos of nothing in particular, FamilySearch tells me that your father and I are 16th cousins twice removed, via his adoptive mother Effie! As of today, anyway.
