I have a family group that has over 300 people in it. I would like to split it into 2 smaller groups. This would make each group easier to manage and I could share out each group in a more appropriate way, i.e. to the appropriate family members. How do I do this?

The short answer is unfortunately not. Records can be copied from the main family tree (including private living people) into a family group but not the other way round or into another family group.

To achieve your aim, records would need to be deleted from one group and re-created in a new group, perhaps by copying from your tree.

Do any of the partner products support Family Groups in any way yet I wonder?

In the meantime, I'd suggest you Suggest an Idea since this sounds like something loads of people might want to do. Keep a copy, though, since Ideas are still currently disappearing into a black hole on submission, though we are assured they will be reviewed properly at some point.

Thanks. I've put forward the suggestion.
