I'm Indexing this batch and the entries have the main name and then the spouse but I don't see any indication of spouses. Also some entries in the batch have b. name under them like they all live together how do I index these?

You will mark the spouse's information blank by either Ctrl + B or the fourth icon from the left on your toolbar. You will also do this for the Prefix and Spouse's Prefix. I can show you how to apply the blanks to every entry so you don't have to keep blanking out those fields.

"b." stands for "boarder." Miss Mary Hobbs is a boarder at Charles A. Hobbs' home and since Mary boards at Charles' home, Charles is not indexed. He has his own entry a few entries above Mary. This also applies to names that aren't indexed in your batch; ex. Mary Hobbs is a boarder at John Smith's home. John is not in your batch, but he will have his own listing in a different batch.
