Why isn't indexing progress saved correctly.

I am reviewing an indexing batch with about 300 records (a City Directory). I reviewed the first 150 records yesterday and planned to review the last 150 records today. When I went into the batch today it only showed that I had reviewed 12 records. Very discouraging. Is there some procedure I need to follow to save my progress in a large batch so that it won't be lost?

I am indexing a batch that is a 300 batch record…city directory. I've indexed all the names listed on the two pages showing and I am only on 126….it says I have up to 300 and won't let me enter what I have. This is unreal cause it has nothing that says what else to do if you have a problem…what do I do now ?

    Thank you

Mary Rose, I suggest you read the General Indexing Guidelines, with particular attention to the section on "Number of Entries per Image".

If you are finished with the batch, you will need to delete the blank, unused entries. To do that, follow these steps:

Click on the trashcan icon on your toolbar.

    FireShot Capture 022 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

This box will come up. Select All blank entries and click Delete.

    FireShot Capture 023 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

You will be left with entries you have indexed and will be able to submit your batch.

I have been indexing City Directories for a long time and have now had a problem, all of a sudden the projects will not down load and the box suggests trying later and it still doesn't let me open the batch. I have tried other projects and I get the same box saying it won't down load. I have tried using another browser and it still won't open.

It could be that FS is having a hiccup or two. This happens, but it doesn't happen often. You should first try exing out then restarting the browser. If that doesn't work, try this:
