An apostille legal service issue
Hello
I found my relatives birth cetificates from the year 1905 and 1907. in the Familysearch archives.
For Legal issues, I need an Authentication of those birth certificate with Apostille.
From whom can I get this service, as the birth place is in Chernivtsi Ukraine.

Generally, to be eligible for the apostille, a record must be obtained from the record holder or the creating institution.
For example, if I needed a certified copy of a relative's death certificate from a US state, the digital copy from microfilm on FamilySearch could not be used. I would need to contact that US state and obtain a copy to be certified and apostilled.
An Apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature, seal and position of the official who has executed, issued or certified a copy of a public document.

I expect the answer is either "you can't" or "possibly in Ukraine, but not right now".

Agree with Julia - the only place would in the Ukraine, and that's not likely to be available given the current situation. A record copy available from FamilySearch would generally not be suitable for the apostille.

Hi
Thank you all for the answers, as this is realy an issue that I guess I am not the onlt one confronted with.
As mentioned " If A record copy available from FamilySearch would generally not be suitable for the apostille"
What can be the resource or document that is suitable, as I guess this archive birth book, was the only way that the birth registration were done…. and if not in familysearch, where can you find something that will be siutable for the apostille ?
