Newbie question: How to add a person?
Up front: I am new to FamilySearch and this is my first post. Please bear with me.
Over the last hour I have vainly been searching for an answer on the above question.
Most likely I am overlooking it.
I have on hand official information about a person, including parents, birthdate, location, etc.
and would like to add this person linking it to existing parents within FamilySearch.
(born in 1886 and 1888 respectively)
Q: How am I supposed to proceed? Do I need to submit this information in some kind of format?
Or do I have to provide a link to city archives ?
Thank you!

And take the extra time to jump into the Sources tab as well as the Collaborate tab to leave for others what info you have already found.
Be sure to not hesitate to ask for help. No sense getting frustrated learning the ins/outs of the FamilyTree. There are volunteers available by phone and you'll find them very helpful! This link can get you to the Support resources depending on your region

Two ways to add a person:
- Click add a parent, child or spouse to an existing person.
- If you want to add an unconnected person, go to Recents, scroll to the bottom and you will see Add an unconnected person.

Thank you all for the feedback! Truly appreciated. @Mark McKenzie_1 thanks for the screenshot. It was helpful and I have successfully added the child (Pieter van der Pijl , Male, G1BB-F9Y). Thanks again!
