Only 12 English language projects to choose from

Why are there so few English language projects to choose from? I can't believe that Family Search doesn't have access to tons of projects.

Is it because AI will be doing records from now on?

Should we look for other things to do?

This happens sometimes. FS may be holding back projects for one reason or another (and remember it's the holidays). Projects are usually released Friday-Sunday with occasional drops the rest of the week. Naturalizations and City Directories are good ways to cut your teeth. AI does index projects, but they are beginner batches. Sometimes they will release beginner projects, but not often. The last beginner we had was months ago. You can also go to Billion Graves. That is simple and straightforward indexing.

There are only 67 total projects currently; 12 is a reasonable percentage of 67.

There is now only ONE batch in English to index (intermediate). No new batches have dropped in a while. Is batch indexing going away to be replaced by AI? I don't like to do it on my phone where it just jumps to a highlighted name and I have to pinch and scroll to get the whole thing. Indexing is such a great way for homebound individuals to serve but its getting hard. thanks for the tip about Billion Graves!

It's probably not going away. I've seen thin batches in the past. It sucks, but it happens. Keep checking back; something is bound to drop.

"This happens sometimes. FS may be holding back projects for one reason or another (and remember it's the holidays)."

That part sounds like the most likely reason for the thin batches for the moment.
