New Homepage feedback — Loss of exact search check boxes

As a heavy user of FamilySearch's records database, I find the removal of the exact search check boxes on the homepage very frustrating. The ability to search for exact terms, coupled with wildcard search operators, makes the site extremely powerful and useful for historians like myself. I would hate to see that functionality limited.

I will leave my feedback here as even that is frustrating to figure out. This feedback seems to go along with my thoughts. I don't like it. Too generalized search on Homepage. What happened to the Advanced Search? You could also pick the state, exact group of records to search, etc. on the Homepage. I do not want to do multiple steps to find something that use to take one or two previously. I do not understand why every company has to monkey around with their websites and usually it's not an improvement. It just makes it incredibly frustrating. I am a seasoned researcher and I will probably not use this site anymore.

@Mary Beth Adams_1 Thank you for your comment. The Advanced Search is accessed on the Homepage by selecting either Search Historical Records or Find a Collection. The article, "Advanced Strategies for Searching Historical Records" and Tips for Searching Historical Records may help in your searches.
