In birth record, from St. Gallen Switzerland, the abbreviation COND. is written after the child's name…..what does that mean?

If it's just some children, then my guess is (Late) Latin condam "former, the late": deceased. (Older/proper would be quondam.)

(We do not have a Community group specifically for Latin translations, and even for German ones, it gets tricky. I've asked a few times in the Germany Research group, but always felt bad, because not a single one of them had anything whatsoever to do with Germany.)
