Belgium Namur death records -- how to enter more than one spouse?
I am reviewing death records from Belgium. Many documents do not have a line for spouse, but will add spouse information after writing the decedent's name. As an example, "Joseph, epoux de" (spouse of) … or "Joseph, celibataire" (for single). The indexing field has entries for the spouse's first and last names. One document I encountered lists the decedent's name, that he was a widower of one woman, and spouse of a second woman. The original indexer put the "widower of …" as part of the decedent's full name. This obviously isn't correct. Yet, there isn't a way to list both spouses. I intend to omit the first wife from the decedent's name. Is there a way to list both spouses? If not, which name do I put in the spouse field?
