On December 12, 2024, some memories were detached from my family by FamilySearch; however, I am unable to see what was removed. The PIDs that were changed are as follows: Nathaniel Dailey L78X-VWZ (1 memory – document detached);

Hannah S. Dailey L4GY-H4S (1 memory – document detached);

Lucy M Greene LHN7-MCF (5 memories – documents detached);

David A Scott L72L-ZFX (3 memories – documents detached);

James Harry Scott LHRW-ZFQ (1 memory – document detached)

David Andrew Scott KNDX-WKW (1 memory – document detached).

Is there a way for me to see what was removed and why?

Thank you,

Rita Flaten

    You can view the changelog for each person to see documents/memories that are no longer attached. If they were attached long ago, you may have to scroll a long way back to find when the items were attached.

    Looking at your first example, L4GY-H4S, a Document was attached on 5 December 2019 by another user. The word "Restore" indicates that it is no longer attached.

    Checking the same profile in the Beta platform, that user attached a death certificate to the profile. https://beta.familysearch.org/tree/person/changelog/L4GY-H4S

    Hope this helps.

    It took me a minute, but I see what you're saying. Do you know why FS removed these memories? The one you are referring to appears to be a death certificate for this person. Why would it be removed? Was there a copyright issue? Why wasn't there remarks left to allow us to identify why and what was being changed?

    I'm just a user of the website - not staff or even a mod. FS usually does not inform anyone when something is removed. Sometimes, if an individual has complained, the reply will be along the lines of "appropriate action will be taken" but nothing more concrete.
