Other Family Members in City Directory

Spouses are indexed in the spouse fields in your entry. Ex:
GN: Matthew
SN: Van Hoof
Spouse's GN: Anna
Spouses SN: Van Hoof
You will follow this instruction when it comes to spouses:
A spouse's name, if listed, may have been recorded in parentheses after the name of the principal individual. The surname should be indexed for both individuals. If a spouse is listed as deceased by the words "wid" or "widow of," do not index the spouse. If multiple people were listed for a single entry, index information about each one using separate entries in the data entry area. Do not index multiple people into the spouse fields if they are not indicated as being the spouse.0

The question is about the non-spouse family members. For example: in the second listing, Van Horn Edwin — Emma is the spouse, but Russel is also listed. Shouldn't Russel be indexed also?

They are indexed.

I meant to add this, but by the time I remembered, the edit window was over.
You will follow this instruction (even though the project has been pulled):
If multiple people were listed for a single entry, index information about each one using separate entries in the data entry area. Do not index multiple people into the spouse fields if they are not indicated as being the spouse. A spouse's name, if listed, may have been recorded in parentheses after the name of the principal individual.1 -
What happened to the city directories? One minute they were at 14% completed and the next minute they were gone.

I'd like to know, too, since projects are a little slim right now (and why I'm transcribing on my backup site). @Ashlee C., any idea on why it was pulled?

@erutherford and @LesterChristieAnn1 I will look into what happened to the city directories project. In the meantime, since the project list does seem a little small… you might want to try some of the reviewing activities in Get Involved. They're pretty easy and can be done quickly, or you can take your time and really dive in for a longer session if you'd like!
