I have a family friend that I have memories that I would like to post but the friend (Deceased) is not listed in family search. I can find through family search census data on the individual but no family search record. can I do this?

Firstly, you can easily create a profile in Family Tree for your deceased friend by clicking on "Recents", then scrolling down to the ADD UNCONNECTED PERSON option. You can add as much or little as you wish in the way of detail, including the items you wish to add to their Memories section.

Secondly, whilst you are completely free to add any information about a deceased person to Family Tree, you might wish to consider these details will become open to public viewing. Personally, I feel a need to respect the feelings of my cousins (and other living relatives) by not adding profiles of their deceased parents to Family Tree. However, this is purely my own view and just mentioned in case your former friend's family members might be upset by your adding personal details of their relative, especially if the death occurred quite recently.
