While on the Tree screen on my Android with familySearch. Does anyone know if the sibling arrows have been removed by design or is there a bug.

There never have been sibling arrows on the pedigree view on the Android Tree app. It's not a bug — it's just that the sibling pedigree view hasn't been implemented there yet.
It will eventually be implemented on Android, but not for a few months. If that view is really important for you on your Android device, your only option for now is to uninstall the app and use the website on your browser.
