Records search conflates Tabasco state (Mexico) with various other Tabascos in Mexico
Records search in its 'country' and 'state' specification options conflates or confuses Tabasco state (estado de Tabasco) with the coincidental names of intra-state localities that share the same name,"Tabasco," but are not actually within Tabasco state ( in the nation of Mexico). For example, the setting Mexico (country), Tabasco (state or department) gives many document results for people who resided their entire lives in Tabasco (a district or city) in Zacatecas state, Mexico. I hope I was able to explain this adequately. Ultimately my question is, whether this onomastic confusion can be corrected by Family Search? Thanks for your attention to this matter.

@LudovicMarsillach Unfortunately, this is not just a problem with Tobasco. Place names on FamilySearch that share the same or a similar word are often displaced in search results, exported files, and filtering. Teams of engineers are well aware and working to find solutions while at the same time continuing to bring more and more content online. Some sets of records have been fixed but—to answer your question, the issue will undoubtedly persist for at least the near future. Thank you for reporting.
