I WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE MY FAMILY HISTORY.
WHO DO I CONTACT?

You were my first source of information on my family. I started with a basic list of paternal ancestors and ended up with thousands on my tree. I would spend hours at the Mormon Temple Library in Oakland, CA, finding ancestors and documentation. This was before the internet. Once the internet came into play I joined a number of genealogy sites and have found them all helpful in one way or another. Some are better for my American paternal family and some are better for my European maternal family. Your site helps with both. Thank you.

We have been hugely blessed by having free access to Find My Past, Ancestry and My Heritage. We have found records so much faster than when we first began. We have found many names and interesting stories about our ancestors and have loved doing the work for them in the Temple. Being involved in the work of Salvation is amazing. The Lord is truly hastening His work and we are incredibly blessed to be involved in it.

l have been using Family Search for a couple of years and it has led to my discovery of so many ancestors that I knew nothing about including my 13 x Grandparents born 1500 and many who emigrated to the USA in the mid 1800’s from England, thank you Family Search for everything.

My genealogy journey began while looking for information on my grandfather, more specifically a photo or something of his time in the military. He passed away when I was six. I am an adult now and have been very curious about his life. I have not found much on his time in the military but I did find a document that is very special to me. The document I found is what actually led me to FamilySearch, his and my grandmother's marriage certificate from Christmas Eve in 1965. I guess you can say that is when my love for genealogy really started and has not stopped. Since then, I have learned so much about many ancestors I never knew. I even found a photo of my paternal great grandparents from their 50th wedding anniversary. I thought that was an awesome find since I never even knew their name before. While I am still searching for photos and information on my grandfather, the amount of information that I have found is incredible. FamilySearch has given me the gift of self discovery through the discovery of my relatives. That is one of the most amazing gifts. Thank you. #FoundAtFamilySearch
