US, Illinois—Naturalization Records, 1856–1991 [Part B] [MQKZ-HT6]
2 questions:
The PI's say to "Index all documents pertaining to the naturalization process, including certificates of arrival, certificates of examination, affidavits of witnesses, and depositions. This is an exception and should not be applied to other naturalization projects." but it does not give an example of how to index affidavits of witnesses. And does it mean every affidavit or just ones on a page of their own? Do I index image 2? Need instructions.
Also, in the absence of an example of how to index a PET, I did it using the record # on the affidavit on image 2.
Thanks

I'm tagging @Ashlee C. on this, but I'm leaning towards a page of their own. If we get a ruling that it's all AOWs, index it as follows:
GN: Martha Gerhardine
SN: Snapp
Record day: 18
Record month: Jul
Record year: 19400 -
I will wait to see if we hear from @Ashlee C.
So if there are 2 witnesses, they would each be an entry, right? So would image 2 would not be indexed?

I'm thinking that it will be one entry similar to the depositions; just the petitioner's name and any other indexable data.

@Lisa Kay Horlacher I will send this in to be looked at. Until we hear back, I would index it as erutherford suggested.
