Ann Bird, Age at Burial
There are two Persons named Ann Bird who have been confused one with the other in the records of Family Tree (FT). They are: Ann Bird Female 24 February 1772 – 11 October 1780 MFR4-5BF and Ann Bird Female 2 January 1780 – Deceased G195-4H3.
Both have a father named Nathan or Nathaniel Bird, and a mother named Ann. There is a burial source in Oct 1780 that has shown up as a hint for each one. This burial source is currently attached to the Ann Bird born in 1772, but it could be the burial for the other Ann Bird, born in 1780.
The record for this burial record shows up as: Image Unavailable and it was indexed without the age of the person buried. If we knew the age at burial, this problem could be easily resolved. Does anyone know how to get the Image for this burial, with the age of the person buried?
Ann Bird born in 1772 has been in the records of FT since before 1985. Ann Bird born in 1780 has only been in the records of FT since Nov 2024.
They each have their own christening date.
If the burial in Oct 1780 is for the Ann Bird born in 1780, this Ann Bird would have been just 10 months of age at the burial.
If the burial in Oct 1780 is for the Ann Bird born in 1772, this Ann Bird would have been 8 years of age at the burial.

That DGS/Film contains records as recent as 1979, so it won't be online for another 50+ years unless/until the project to break apart the DGS covering many years is completed.

The index/extract on Find My Past includes the burial parish, Stansted Mountfitchet. And, the record set type "Essex Burial Index 1530-1994" would indicate that there is little detail.Ancestry has some Essex registers, but I didn't find that one on a quick search.

Freereg has the indexed christening record for Ann Bird, 2 Jan 1780, daughter of Nathaniel and Ann, and a burial for an Ann Bird 11 Oct 1780, daughter of Nathaniel and Ann, at Stansted Mountfitchet.
I searched for Nathaniel Bird, clicked on family members (which shows all records with a Nathaniel Bird as father), and also found the other children listed on family search in the St Mary The Virgin church, Stansted Mountfitchet.
Freereg does not list her age and does not show the original record.
I don't think the 11 Oct 1780 burial belongs to Ann Bird, MFR4-5BF. Her baptism was in 1772 in Takeley, Essex. Also on freereg.
Ann Baker and Nathaniel Bird (parents of the other Ann Bird) were married 28 Sep 1778 at Stansted Mountfitchet, St Mary the Virgin, with Ann Bird G195-4H3 as their first child baptized. Many other children are listed at same church. Knowing that the marriage of parents, birth and burial for Ann, and birth and burial of siblings are all at same church helps to narrow down families sometimes.
Hopefully this is helpful.
Freereg Is a great source!

Thanks so much Christine for that great information about Freereg. I will work at changing that death information from one Ann Bird to the other one. But first I would like to have the sources for each Ann Bird show the church name and the place name. Right now, there are only the three sources, and they are from FamilySearch, and they do not show the age at burial, and all three sources show only the Event Place as Essex, England, so it appears that all 3 sources are from the same place.
How do I get to the Freereg sources? Right now, when I am looking at the Details Page for any ancestor, and I click to the right under Search Records, I can choose FamilySearch, or Ancestry, or Findmypast or four others. How do I search Freereg? Is it free? If I do get into the Freereg and find a source, does the source linker easily show me how to attach that source to the Family Tree record for that ancestor?

You can search ANY site directly on that site and then attach that source. This article explains one method to attach an outside source:

@jlwestra asked: "If I do get into the Freereg and find a source, does the source linker easily show me how to attach that source to the Family Tree record for that ancestor?"
No, you wouldn't be using Source Linker. That tool only works on indexes that are on FamilySearch. As explained in the article that Áine linked, for "outside" sources, you can use either the URL or an image to create the source. You can use your Source Box to attach it to multiple profiles (so that you only need to do the data entry once).
The Help Center article doesn't point out that the only required field in source creation is the title. (Really. You can type some gibberish in the Title field and it'll save it as a source if you click the button.) This means that if you don't know what to put for the citation — which can easily be the case for paper documents that you've scanned or photographed, for example — then you can just leave that field blank. And if the reason for attachment is self-explanatory (as is true 99% of the time, in my experience), you can feel free to leave the reason box empty.

There's also a 3rd party browser add-on, RecordSeek, that will assist you in adding an outside source to a profile in the FSFT.

The FreeREG website is found at https://www.freereg.org.uk/ . As implied, all the data on the website can be accessed for free. Its coverage can be rather patchy, but for many areas of the county of Essex it is particularly good.
Once you have found the record you require to be added as a source to an individual in Family Tree, you go to the Sources section of that profile, click on ADD SOURCE, then ADD NEW SOURCE. Add a date and title to the Create Source box, followed by the URL of the page in FreeREG where the record appears. Unlike some links, when you later try to get back to that FreeREG page (by using that URL) you will be taken there directly, instead of just to the website Home page (which is common for many other websites).
Try the following as examples!
