Confusion on parent's names

The parents names in the baptism/birth/christening record are written in the same space, with the father on the top half and the mother on the bottom half. For one of the people, though, there are only two names in this rectangle space, one on top of the other. It is unclear to me whether they constitute one name, or the first names of both parents, or the surnames of both parents. It seems reasonable to assume that they would be the surnames, but I wasn't sure. Could I get some clarification?

Without a batch ID or a link, or at least some indication of which indexing project, I'm afraid nobody can help.

In the Hungarian civil registrations, the post-1906 tabular format of birth register has a single square for the parents. If there's just one person's name there, it's almost always because the child is illegitimate, and the one person is the mother.
