That would be the To Do list. Honestly, I never use it. I keep my research log separate from any website where I research. I've seen too many websites disappear or have issues and lose information.

I guess the number of clicks depends on your starting point. Most of my work is carried out on the Details page of an individual's profile and to get to "Add Note" from there is just two clicks away. However, I would agree with you that some users (especially if new to Family Tree) would not find it clear how to actually get to Notes - being somewhat "hidden" under "Collaboration".
