According to the website's information about the Planner, it is ONLY for members of the Latter-Day Saints.

The Planner is a tool available to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for helping someone else with his or her family history. Use it to view the FamilySearch Family Tree from the other person’s point of view, browse discovery activities, design personalized family history experiences, record notes, and build lesson plans.

before the update, any user could use the "planner" to assist with their own research

For a public accounts the link is "helpful" resources instead of "helper"

A public user could make plans and notes.
The link to the Planner still opens, but no hints or activities links show, tabs for plans and notes don’t appear.
Clicking the question mark takes you to Helpful Resources then to

    A Family History Dashboard

My planner offers helpful tools specific to your ancestors.

    • Interesting family history activities.
    • Hints to help you add sources, events, and people.
    • A place to take notes and document your progress.

In My Planner, all of the PID's listed under Possible Duplicates are not possible duplicates. There's nothing under Latest Changes to indicate they've been recently merged. I can't see that any family members are possible duplicates. Could there be a glitch?
