New FamilySearch Catalog

I just looked at the new catalog and I hope whoever is doing this will think twice. The current catalog is easy to use but, the new one is so confusing! If you have not tried it be sure to look at it. This is one time to leave things alone or do something based on the current catalog and not this drastic change!!!

The "current" catalog is no longer current, since it has not been updated in more than 3 years. The new catalog is no longer new.

There is an explanation here of the TWO catalogs: https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/our-catalogs One is not a replacement for the other.

Will the old catalog be removed and if so when will it be taken down? Are you going to put out detailed instructions on how to use the new catalog? I tried it and was really confused? I am not new to FS as I served a mission in the Family History Library and actually beta test the first FamilySearch called New FamilySearch. When New FamilySearch came out me and another Elder who beta tested it for the Church taught it to the staff.

Where is it located on familysearch.org?

I'm a user of the website, not Staff. This Community is primarily users helping each other. The article has links to the two catalogs.
